I have studied voice with Becky Windham for the past three years and have benefited greatly from her wise and thoughtful instruction. Becky is careful to assess her students' goals for learning and then keeps those goals at the forefront of her lesson plans. She organizes her lessons to help me achieve my purposes, and because of her training I have had greatly increased confidence in performing. Becky is always prompt, pleasant, knowledgeable and encouraging. She is able to teach a wide variety of musical genre and is willing to work with her students in any of them. We knew our 13 year old daughter had a gift, but it was a rough stone that needed polishing. Ms. Windham has done a fine job with making Riley shine. Under her direction, Riley’s voice has improved dramatically within the past year.
In addition to improvements in her voice, there has been substantial development in music theory and in keyboard skills on our daughter's part. In March 2010 at age 14, our daughter was signed to an artist development consultancy with a prominent Nashville music professional who has worked with several famous recording artists as Manager and Agent. She has been making trips to Nashville and has performed at the Bluebird Cafe and is now singing and playing locally on a regular basis.
We believe none of this would have been likely without the vocal and music instruction she received from Ms. Windham. We highly recommend her.
